Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-03-10 · Effective immediately

Short version: We collect your email and domain to deliver the service you requested. We store minimal data, do not sell it, and automatically delete it after 60 days. You can request deletion at any time.

1. Who We Are

StackAnchor ("we", "us") is a digital reliability service operating at stackanchor.net. We offer a free domain health audit tool (StackAnchor Audit) and an uptime monitoring service (StackAnchor Pulse). For questions or data requests, contact us at hello@stackanchor.com.

2. What Data We Collect

Domain Audit (StackAnchor Audit)

When you request a domain health audit, we collect and store:

Data Why Stored?
Email address To send you the audit report Yes — 60 days
Domain name submitted To run the audit Yes — 60 days
Truncated IP address (last octet removed, e.g. 185.42.10.0) Abuse prevention / rate limiting Yes — 60 days
Country & city (from Cloudflare) Analytics & abuse prevention Yes — 60 days
ASN (network provider number) Bot traffic detection Yes — 60 days
Browser User-Agent Abuse investigation Yes — 60 days
Cloudflare Ray ID Support debugging Yes — 60 days
Audit score / results summary Admin analytics Yes — 60 days

We do not store your full IP address (only the anonymised version), referrer URLs, or any payment information. IP truncation means 185.42.10.1 becomes 185.42.10.0 before storage.

Uptime Monitoring (StackAnchor Pulse)

When you create an uptime monitor, we collect and store:

Data Why Stored?
Email address To send you downtime alerts and confirmations Yes — until you delete the monitor
URL being monitored To perform uptime checks Yes — until you delete the monitor
Check results (status, latency, timestamp) To display your status dashboard Yes — until you delete the monitor

We do not store IP addresses, device data, or any other personal data for Pulse monitors.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

We rely on the following legal bases under GDPR Article 6:

  • Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)): Processing email and domain data to deliver the audit report or send uptime alerts you requested.
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): Storing anonymised IP, User-Agent, ASN, and country for rate limiting and abuse prevention. This is necessary to protect the service from bot abuse and denial-of-service attacks.

We do not rely on consent as a legal basis, and we do not engage in marketing communications.

4. How We Use Your Data

  • To deliver the domain audit report to your email inbox.
  • To send uptime alert emails when a monitored URL changes status.
  • To enforce rate limits and prevent abuse of our free services.
  • To maintain an internal admin audit trail for security and debugging purposes.

We do not sell your data, use it for marketing, share it with advertisers, or use it to build profiles.

5. Data Retention

  • Audit records (email, domain, results, anonymised IP): automatically deleted after 60 days by a daily cleanup process.
  • Uptime monitors (email, URL, check history): retained until you request deletion. Contact us at hello@stackanchor.com to delete your monitor and all associated data.

6. Data Processors (Third Parties)

We use the following third-party processors. Each has a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) in place:

Processor Purpose Data Shared Location
Cloudflare Infrastructure, database (D1), edge network All data stored in D1 Global (Cloudflare network)
Resend Transactional email delivery Your email address, report content US (EU-compliant DPA)

We do not share your data with any other third parties. Admin notifications (Discord) contain only masked email addresses (e.g., u***@gmail.com) and no personally identifiable information.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, or Switzerland, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure (right to be forgotten): Request deletion of your data.
  • Right to restriction: Request that we limit processing of your data.
  • Right to object: Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Right to data portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@stackanchor.com. We will respond within 30 days. No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.

8. Cookies & Tracking

We do not use cookies for tracking or analytics. No marketing pixels, no Google Analytics. The only browser interactions are:

  • Cloudflare Turnstile — a privacy-preserving bot detection challenge embedded on the audit form. It does not create persistent tracking cookies and complies with GDPR. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

9. Security

We take appropriate technical measures to protect your data, including:

  • All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS).
  • IP addresses are truncated (pseudonymised) before storage.
  • Access to the database is restricted to authenticated Cloudflare Worker services.
  • Admin notifications contain only masked personal data.
  • No plaintext secrets are stored in code or version control.

10. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Contact

If you believe we are not handling your data in accordance with applicable law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (e.g., ANSPDCP in Romania, ICO in the UK, or your national DPA).
